The WSET Level 2 Award in Beer is an internationally recognised qualification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, regulated by Ofqual (UK). This immersive, intermediate-level course explores how key ingredients and production processes influence the flavour, style, and quality of beer across more than 60 styles worldwide.

Total Qualification Time (TQT) Guided Learning Hours (GLH): 16 hours of guided learning Recommended Private Study: 11 hours Total Study Time: 28 hours (including 1-hour exam) 

Tasting Samples Level 2 expands significantly on tasting to support a deeper understanding of how ingredients and brewing methods influence flavour and quality. Beer samples from across the key style groups are tasted throughout the course. All samples are included in the course fee and provided during class days.

Tasting samples include a wide selection of traditional and specialty styles from around the world, helping participants confidently evaluate and describe beers such as:

  • Lagers and pilsners
  • IPAs
  • Stouts
  • Belgian abbey ales
  • Sour styles
  • Non-alcoholic/low-alcoholic beers
  • Gluten-free/reduced beers

*Sample selection is subject to factors such as excise regulations, availability, and registrations, and may change at short notice for the course.

  • Format: 50 multiple-choice questions, closed-book
  • Duration: 60 minutes
  • Pass mark: 55%
  • Regulated by Ofqual, UK

On Successful Completion You Will Receive

  • Official WSET Level 2 Award in Beer certificate (digital certificate issued via WSET Global Campus after results are released)
  • WSET lapel pin (dispatched separately after results are confirmed — please allow 4–6 weeks for delivery)

Prerequisites No prior WSET qualification is required. Some interest in or knowledge of beer is helpful. If you are new to beer, we recommend starting with the WSET Level 1 Award in Beer.

Re-sit Re-sit fee: ₹13,000 + applicable taxes. To book a re-sit, please contact us. You are not permitted to re-sit a qualification solely to improve a Pass grade.

  • To cancel your booking, write to us at least 7 working days before the course start date. North: [email protected] | West & South: [email protected]
  • Cancellations received at least 7 working days before the start date: a cancellation charge of ₹13,000 (plus applicable taxes) will be deducted; the remaining fee will be refunded within 15 working days.
  • Cancellations received less than 7 working days before the course date: no refund will be issued.
  • If Tulleeho Beverage Academy cancels the course: the full fee will be refunded within 15 working days.

If applicable, payment gateway charges will be deducted from the refund.
