The WSET Level 2 Award in Sake is an internationally recognised qualification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, regulated by Ofqual (UK). Tulleeho is proud to be one of the only providers delivering this qualification in India, home to the country’s first ever WSET Level 2 Sake cohorts. This course explores how the ingredients used by brewers are processed and combined to create the many different styles of sake, and teaches you to describe and assess quality with genuine authority.

Tasting Samples Tasting Samples

Level 2 builds on Level 1, offering a deeper tasting experience. A broader range of sake styles is covered, allowing students to directly experience differences in production choices, polishing ratios, and yeast or fermentation methods. Typical samples could include:

  • Futsū-shu or Honjōzō
  • Daiginjō
  • Rich Junmai
  • Off-dry or dry sake
  • Sweet sake
  • Examples showing different polishing ratios (ginjō vs non-ginjō)
  • Examples made using different yeast strains
  • A high-alcohol genshu
  • Speciality styles such as nigori, sparkling, nama-zake or koshu aged sake

A range of sake samples across multiple styles is tasted throughout the course. All samples are included in the course fee and provided during class days.

  • Duration: 60 minutes
  • Pass mark: 55%

On Successful Completion You Will Receive

  • Official WSET Level 2 Award in Sake certificate (digital certificate issued via WSET Global Campus after results are released)
  • WSET lapel pin (dispatched separately after results are confirmed please allow 4–6 weeks for delivery)

Prerequisites No prior WSET qualification is required. Some familiarity with sake is helpful. If you are new to sake entirely, we recommend starting with the WSET Level 1 Award in Sake.

Re-sit Re-sit fee: ₹13,000 + applicable taxes. To book a re-sit, please contact us. You are not permitted to re-sit a qualification solely to improve a Pass grade.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy

  • To cancel your booking, write to us at least 7 working days before the course start date. North: [email protected] | West & South: [email protected]
  • Cancellations received at least 7 working days before the start date: a cancellation charge of ₹13,000 (plus applicable taxes) will be deducted; the remaining fee will be refunded within 15 working days.
  • Cancellations received less than 7 working days before the course date: no refund will be issued.
  • If Tulleeho Beverage Academy cancels the course: the full fee will be refunded within 15 working days.

If applicable, payment gateway charges will be deducted from the refund.
