Tasting Samples Tasting Samples

More than 25 spirits from around the world are tasted across the course, covering all principal categories. All samples are included in the course fee and provided during class days.

A minimum of around 25 spirits are covered during the course, spanning multiple categories including:

• Fruit spirits (e.g., Cognac variations across age expressions)
• Whisky — various styles and regions
• Rum — light to aged expressions
• Tequila and mezcal
• Vodka
• Gin
• Flavoured spirits and liqueurs

This extensive tasting range supports the development of analytical skills using the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Spirits®, allowing students to confidently describe and differentiate core styles such as whisky, rum, brandy, tequila, gin and liqueurs.

Exam Details

• Format: Multiple-choice examination, closed-book
• Duration: 60 minutes
• Pass mark: 55%
• Exam date: Approx. 2 weeks after the final teaching day
• Regulated by Ofqual, UK

Grade Breakdown

On Successful Completion You Will Receive

• Official WSET Level 2 Award in Spirits certificate (digital certificate issued via WSET Global Campus after results are released)
• WSET lapel pin (dispatched separately after results are confirmed please allow 4–6 weeks for delivery)
• A pathway to WSET Level 3 Award in Spirits

Prerequisites No prior WSET qualification is required. Some familiarity with spirits is helpful. If you are completely new to spirits, we recommend starting with the WSET Level 1 Award in Spirits.

Re-sit Re-sit fee: ₹13,000 + applicable taxes. No limit on re-sit attempts. To book a re-sit, please contact us. You are not permitted to re-sit a qualification solely to improve a Pass grade.

Important Note — Online Delivery The online format covers all theory and learning content. Tasting samples are not included with the online course. Students who wish to experience guided tastings are encouraged to enroll in an in-person session.
