Americano

Origins

A delicious Cocktail which gave birth to the famous Negroni Cocktail. The Cocktail was born out from a drink called Milano-Torino which is equal parts of Campari from Milan and sweet vermouth from Torino. In 1860 Gaspere Campari served this drink in his bar in a tall glass with soda. The drink was named Americano in 1920s because of its popularity with the American tourists.

  • 30 ml Campari
  • 30 ml Cinzano Rosso Vermouth
  • top up with Soda

  1. Pour the Campari and vermouth into a rocks or highball glass filled with ice. Add a splash of club soda and garnish with an orange twist.
