Policy Statement
Tulleeho, as an Approved Programme Provider (APP) for WSET®, is committed to maintaining the highest standards of fairness, transparency, and integrity in the delivery and administration of WSET® qualifications. Tulleeho actively identifies, discloses, and manages any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that could impact the credibility of WSET® programmes or assessments.
All reasonable steps are taken to prevent conflicts of interest or to manage them appropriately where avoidance is not possible.
Scope
This policy applies to:
- All Tulleeho staff involved in teaching, assessment, invigilation, administration, or marketing of WSET® programmes
- Contract trainers, assessors, and invigilators working on behalf of Tulleeho
- Employees or immediate family members of employees enrolled in WSET® programmes delivered by Tulleeho
The policy covers both actual conflicts and situations that may give rise to a perception of conflict.
Definition of Conflict of Interest
A conflict of interest exists when personal, professional, or financial relationships could compromise—or be seen to compromise—an individual’s impartiality, judgement, or objectivity in relation to WSET® activities.
Examples of Potential Conflicts
Examples may include, but are not limited to:
1- Assessing or moderating work of candidates with whom there is a personal or professional relationship
2- Teaching candidates while also being involved in their assessment or examination process
3- Invigilating an examination for candidates previously taught by the same individual
4- Staff members of Tulleeho enrolling in WSET® qualifications delivered by Tulleeho
5- Individuals involved in assessment providing targeted exam coaching
6- Employment of trainers or assessors who hold similar roles with another WSET® Approved Programme Provider
Managing Conflicts of Interest
- All staff are required to declare any actual or potential conflicts of interest as soon as they arise
- Declared conflicts are reviewed on a case-by-case basis
- Where necessary, alternative arrangements (such as reassignment of duties) will be made to protect assessment integrity
- Tulleeho will seek guidance from WSET® Awards where clarification or approval is required
Reporting a Conflict
Candidates or staff who believe a conflict of interest exists should report the matter in writing to: [email protected]
All reports will be treated confidentially and reviewed promptly.
Non-Disclosure
Failure to declare a known conflict of interest may be considered a breach of WSET® APP requirements and could result in corrective action, including potential reporting to WSET® Awards.
Additional Guidance
Not all conflicts can be predicted or listed. Where uncertainty exists, individuals are encouraged to disclose the situation so that Tulleeho can ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
