How many people per class?
10 – 15 people

Can I retake the tests if I miss the exam or do not
Yes. There are additional fees for a missed exam or for retaking an exam.

Will there be homework?
There will never be mandatory assignments. If you wish to pass the Intermediate Level test, it is recommended that you spend time studying before the test.

What should I bring to the first class?
All textbooks, wines, glasses and instruction will be provided. It is suggested you bring something to take notes, a thirsty palate and a curious mind.

What is the WSET?
The WSET was founded in 1969 to provide high quality education and training in wines and spirits. Since then, WSET has grown into the foremost international body in the field of wine and spirits education, with a suite of sought-after qualifications for professionals and enthusiasts

What is the structure of the WSET certification program?
The WSET classes are a progression and include the Foundations Certificate, the Intermediate Certificate, the Advanced Certificate, and the Diploma. Each level covers the entire world of wine by geographical region— including viticulture, vinification, and appellation labeling laws— and also covers wine-tasting technique.

The standard starting point for students is the Foundation Certificate – Level 1.
The Advanced Certificate is a strict prerequisite for the Diploma Program. There are no exceptions.

What WSET certification programs are taught at the TWA?
WSET® Level 1 Award in Wines, WSET® Level 2 Award in Wines & Spirits and WSET® Level 3 Award in Wines & Spirits.

What will be the duration of both the courses?
Level 1: 6-8 hours over 1 day
Level 2: 16-18 hours over 3 or 4 days
Level 3: 42-48 hours over 6 days followed by the exam on the 7th day
