Well, its in the basement, hence the name. Okay, it does have some Australian
aboriginal/tribal motifs, whatever. I did see a Boomerang hanging around someplace.
The place is usually full of urban kids in tight T-shirts, sometimes a few "cool"
broads walk in. The music is loud, way too loud and kinda annoying techno-pop.
But still its a good looking place and the food and the booze is GOOD. Value
for your friggin' money if you compare it to immensely overrated places like
Turquoise
Cottage in Delhi. Plus there are the usual pool tables etc.
All in all, if you want a place to come in out of the summer heat, its the place.
Its amazing how no one talked about Chandigarh yet. Its got a whole lotta pubs
and I mean PUBS, the kind that serve Draught Beer. And CHEAP. All that Down
Under needs now is a DJ with an IQ.

Am as urban as it get comming from Mumbai... spent some time ... 8 months in Chandigarh.... and i guess i know a good pub when i see one. Hail Mondy's! Anyway... Down Under sucks. And where are the pubs in Chandigarh?? there is just 3 of them... and a sad little thing by the lake! In chandigarh you're better off taking the bottle home and sippin to you own music!
