I
have done a 3 year course in hotel management. What more can
the school teach me?
The school will lay emphasis only on the beverage aspect,
unlike a hotel management college, which covers all departments.
This is a specialized course and the school will teach and
train you to handle and manage a bar successfully. It will
be more focused in the technical part of bar management and
will expose you to present day trends in the beverage industry.
The theoretical knowledge that will be imparted is specially
formulated to cover almost all aspects of the concerned beverage
and would help the students in applying the same during work. |
How
will the School provide me with an education that is practical
and relevant?
The school has a course formulated by professionals who have
spent most of their time bartending and managing the best
bars in India and abroad and have provided consultancy and
training to bars and bartenders. Therefore the course is designed
in a manner that suits the present day needs in terms of knowledge
and customer satisfaction. We will also draw upon industry
resources in the form of managers from some of the world's
leading alcoholic beverage companies and bar and pub owners.

I
am a woman. Can I also be a bartender?

back.

What
kind of jobs can I expect to get after passing out from the
school?
From
a bar waiter to a bartender to a Bar manager to a Beverage
Manager and if one is good and develops well, then one can
achieve different heights in this field. Freelance bartending
is a new trend that has started in India and it pays well
if one can blend all the elements of bartending in banquets
and bar organization in private and corporate parties. One
can work for international beverage marketing companies based
in India and abroad since these companies would be very keen
in hiring a person who has had prior exposure in the trade
practically.
Cruise liners are always on the look for good bartenders and
hence that’s another big option. Beverage journalism
is another field that is yet to explored and surely there
lies a career for someone who likes to use the beverage research
to good use.
Immigration to certain countries requires some skill and thus
bartending adds as a good skill and gives you that advantage
if one is looking for immigration. With the growth of this
industry in India we see lots of openings being created in
the field of bartending and beverages in the future. |
What
assistance will I get from the School to find a job?
The
school is well connected with the industry and shares a good
relationship with bars and pubs as well as liquor companies
in India. With this networking on line the school assists
the trainees to get placements in different bars, pubs, hotels,
etc. In the last three years we have successfully placed almost
all our students in bars and pubs not just in India but also
outside the country in some well reputed bars and hotels.
We at the Cocktails & Dreams School of Bar and Beverage
Management believe in our bartenders doing better in the future
who happen to represent us in the outside world.

Where
do I end up after the Course ?
If
one gets a good hang of the trade then sky is the limit. However
openings are in the form of bartending in hotel bars as well
as free standing outlets. Cruise liners, Liquor companies,
freelance bartending, bar consulting, etc. One can even explore
the filed of alcohol journalism. The trade can lead to various
forms apart from the food and beverage trade only.
