Tulleeho : The base spirits (Brandy, Whiskey, Gin, Vodka, Tequila) are stable distilled spirits and can be stored for a long time. Unopened, these bottles have indefinite shelf life. But once opened these spirits begin to lose some of their character.

Somi : I am residing in Pune and i recently did a course in Delhi and learnt cocktails but that wasn't good enough. I want to know if i can learn the correct pronounciations of different things used in making cocktails online and also which brands of wine, vodka, beer and whisky, rum, champagne used in making cocktails are available in Pune and which place in Pune can i find them ? Do mention the scotch too which is best for cocktails.
Tulleeho : For pronunciation of different words you can either use a good dictionary or search for a pronunciation tool on the internet. For the different brands, you need to search for some good wine shops in Pune, one being Pardeshi Wines on Karve road, Near Kavha cafe. Even if you don't get your preferred brand you can pre order from here and they will arrange for it. And finally, it depends on the person as to which Scotch they like ( blended/single malt) and on the budget. Generally blended Scotches are used in cocktails like RUSTY NAIL & FLYING SCOTSMAN. You are the best one to decide the brand of Scotch you prefer.
