Anand Chintamani

Trained Malter, who has conducted and attended International forums on Whisky appreciation and tastings.

Anand Chintamani needs no introduction to the world of whiskies and spirits. He’s been in the Malt, and fine spirits business as an entrepreneur for over 15 20 years now. Google to see him conduct his lucid sessions. Anand’s initiation into the world of whisky began as the first Brand Manager of Glenfiddich in India and S. Asia Market. In a way, Anand launched the Malt Whisky revolution in India.

On the professional front Anand worked in distilleries in Scotland, Ireland and India both at the visitors center and as a part of many teams that produce world beating malt Whiskies. Apart, as a trained Chef, Anand worked with the Taj Hotels, for 7 years, where he honed his appreciation for culinary and finer aspects of pairing food and drinks.

Anand has curated whisky led events for all leading brands in the world and thereby conducted over 1000 sessions in India, Europe, S.E.Asia and across the world. His repertoire includes leading whisky sessions with Master Chef Australia, Gary Mehigan and in India with the likes of Vir Sanghvi and various glitterati of tinsel town a.k.a Bollywood.

A management graduate with 20 years’of work-ex, Anand straddles business talk and whisky nuances with as much ease as he’s able to slip into the 6 languages that he speaks thereby connecting with his audience in local lingo.

Anand’s recently acquired a Diploma in Single Malt whisky from the Edinburgh Whisky Academy approved by the Scottish Qualifications Authority and is pursuing another one on Gin.

Whisky is not the only Scottish pursuit Anand follows, being a keen golfer amongst others.

On the personal front Anand is a loving father to his sons, Dev and Jeh, a doting husband to Sara & spends his free time musing over Sherlock Holmes and rock music and a wee dram!
